Disney-MGM Studios is a rather obvious, but still entertaining, answer to the opening of Universal Studios in Orlando. It's all about the world of the movies, but much more than just Disney flicks.
The "Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" and "Star Tours" are the big thrill rides in this Disney World theme park. Beyond those, however, it's mostly about the shows - live, filmed, animatronic and all those other things that the Disney folks do so well. You might want to schedule an evening visit so you can experience all the "dancing water", music, fireworks, lasers and more that are part of the "Fantasmic" show.
Of course, places to eat at Disney MGM Studios also play off the cinematic theme: Visit a recreation of Hollywood's Brown Derby restaurant, try the fare at the "Sci-Fi Drive-In Theater" or the diner known as the "50's Prime Time Cafe", plus a bunch more "casual" and "quick service" restaurant (including something claiming to be an "ABC Commissary").
