The Magic Kingdom is the original Disney theme park in Orlando and, in a way, the hub of the Disney universe. It's a much larger version of the original Disneyland in California, with Cinderella's Castle at the center of everything.
Arriving by monorail or boat or tram, when you see that castle you know you've arrived at Disney World. In a world full of amusement parks with ever-increasing levels of thrill rides, the Magic Kingdom is relatively tame.
The park is divided into Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. It all has a thorough mix of the modern with the concepts developed at Disneyland over a half-century ago. Still brings millions from all over the world every year.
Access to the Magic Kingdom is easiest for those staying at the hotels on the monorail line (Disney's Grand Floridian, Contemporary Resort, and Polynesian Resort), but all of the Disney hotels offer buses or boats for all guests.
