Epcot Center

Epcot Center is the second oldest of the Disney World theme parks, just a monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom. It's kind of an extension of the old idea of a World's Fair, with examinations of world culture and visions of the future.

Except for the "Finding Nemo" ride and a few other rides, Epcot is probably not the best choice for the youngest of kids, with more of an emphasis on culture and learning instead of the usual batch of Disney characters. (Hate to say it, but from some of the online comments we've read it's obvious that there are also quite a few adults who aren't interested in anything intellectually stimulating on their vacations, too.)

The "World Showcase" portion of Epcot includes pavilions devoted to 11 countries from various parts of the world. The "Future World" section includes attractions such as the "Mission: Space" pavilion, Spaceship Earth pavilion, Wonders of Life pavilion and "Universe of Energy". Epcot can be a interesting place to eat, too, with restaurants (of various levels of "refinement") covering a wide variety of the world's cuisines.
